The artist’s work is influenced greatly by her love of the sea, scuba diving and swimming with the magical under water world of kelp and fish featuring in many of her pieces. The paper represents the water element and is made from a mixture of textural materials such as pulp, twine, metals and dyes. The porcelain fish moving through the water are individually crafted and incised, then fired in a kiln at temperatures of 1270 degrees.

“I would like to give the viewer the feeling of being underwater in a tranquil and hypnotic world where gravity has no place.”
